"The Hidden Meanings Behind Thor's Loki Tattoos"!

A glimpse of Thor's back in Thor: Love and Thunder reveals a collection of tattoos, some of which are dedicated to Loki and have two hidden meanings. Thor, Valkyrie, Korg, and Jane Foster as Mighty Thor return in Taika Waititi's Love and Thunder. The team takes on the villain Gorr the God Butcher in order to prevent him from reaching the entity known as Eternity and gaining the power to destroy all gods.

Thor and his allies travel to Omnipotence City to recruit other gods to fight alongside them in order to defeat Gorr. They enter the city disguised, but when Thor is discovered, Russell Crowe's Zeus demands that he remove his disguise. After being refused, Zeus "flicks" Thor's disguise off by force, inadvertently removing his clothes and revealing Thor's tattoo-covered back. Thor's back was bare when he was last seen in Avengers: Endgame, indicating that the tattoos are both new and significant.

Thor's most noticeable tattoos are Loki's Helmet and the phrases "RIP Loki" and "brothers." Thor's new ink appears to have two hidden meanings. Thor is first paying tribute to his late brother, the last living member of his immediate family after their parents died. Second, the tattoos serve to emphasize Loki's presence in Thor: Love and Thunder, despite the fact that the God of Mischief does not appear in the film. Thor may someday reunite with Loki, as Loki's alternate timeline version exists in the MCU. While they frequently fought, they genuinely cared about one another.
